The Water Witch Kayak Sprint Challenge

The Water Witch Kayak Sprint Challenge is an event arranged and organised by a team of Project Management postgraduate members of Lancaster University Management School in aid of Macmillan Cancer Care. The event is a time trial sprint challenge to get to the top of the Leader Board, based on the format of the BBC’s “Top Gear”. Teams of 2 will paddle a tandem sit-on-top kayak against the clock, and can enter as many times as they like to get to the top of the board.

The Water Witch pub is hosting the event which will take place on Saturday 6th March from 10am to 4pm. Anyone can enter on the day, no experience necessary, with The Water Witch's unique menu for the day, including a “Kayak Sprint Challenge” beer brewed specially for the event.

The activities on the water will be under the supervision of Windermere Canoe and Kayak, who are donating all the kayaks and safety equipment for the day. The event will raise money for Macmillan Cancer care by entry fees of £5 per team, a donation by the Water Witch, and collection of public donations on the day.
