The Music team, some might say the coolest team in the station. Responsible for deciding on the overall music choice for our output by sifting the huge amounts of new music sent to us daily from the record companies. They meet at least once a week to listen to the latest selection of tracks and decide on which deserve to be part of of the Bailrigg FM playlist. If you're a music addict this is an awesome thing to be part of.
Bailrigg FM has excellent relations with a lot of the music PR companies and we regularly get free tickets to gigs to go down and conduct interviews with the artists. If you've ever wanted to meet the lead singer of your favourite band then this could be the opportunity.
Because we're known in the industry as an Indie station, we tend to get sent a lot of music in that area before the big name stations even get a chance. This means if you're interested in Indie, Rock, Alternative then you could be listening to fantastic new tracks and albums sometimes months before they'll get formally released.
If you fancy imposing your taste in music on the playlist, if you just fancy the idea of free gigs and band interviews, or even if you're just looking to find a group of like minded music fanatics to hang out with, the music team could be for you.
